March

03012015
Got lunch with Tony and Margaret at Eden Center and got delicious Pho. Good hanging out with them outside of work, and talked about a bunch of random stuff. Had a mini debating on what girls do vs. guys do after a breakup. I have my own opinions, but I'll save it for another time.. Then we went food shopping in Good Fortune lol, we were so bored. Then I spent a few hours at Barnes & Noble reading this book. My brother told me about it and it's actually a good and easy read. About why people form habits, how to change bad habits, and how to create new habits. About a third done and will continue once I check it out at the library.

Doesn't feel like Monday for some reason. I have a pretty packed week in DC, Richmond, and then the snowboarding trip on Friday! Having something to look forward to makes the week go by faster. At work, we're asked to learn something outside of what we do for our job. So gotta start thinking of what I want to learn - can be programming languages, certifications, take classes, etc... I think a class like consumer behavior/psychology would be pretty cool to take. Anyway, after work I was feeling ambitious and stopped by the grocery store to get salmon to cook for dinner. It's actually really easy and turned out pretty good! Shall do this more often as part of my plan to lead a healthier lifestyle!

03032015
Pretty successful day today and made lots of progress on my project. It's so exciting when things gain momentum and you're one step closer finishing. Left work super early at 3:30 cause everyone left, but then I caught up on some work tonight at the hotel. Had to stay at the Westin because the Hilton was all booked, but the Westin food is soo much better.

03042015
Busy day in Richmond today with all the planning sessions and the random meetings I had here and there. Talked with Ryan for an hour about Cornell recruiting, where we are now and where we want to be in the future. And also talked about the upcoming dinner at Ithaca which I'm probably going to wheee! I decided to come back to DC tonight to avoid being trapped in Richmond when the snow comes in tomorrow. I stopped by the same Thai place as usual and the lady is so jolly! She's like she might have to close work because of the snow tomorrow, and then she'll miss her customers and her dog at home will follow her everywhere thinking she has food. Makes me want to be a regular customer at the Thai place haha. The drive home was soooo foggy today.

Snow day today so worked from home, but first had to pick up a laptop charger from Michael's because I forgot mine. So spent my morning venturing out in the snow. The snow came down fast and put a pretty thick layer on the group. In the afternoon I went out to explore a bit and one thing I don't get about DC is how come they don't invest in actual plows, but instead use bulldozers to clear the streets. Doesn't make sense.. Finished the Power of Habit at night and it's a good read, very thought provoking.

03062015
Another day working from home because the office was closed till 10 AM. In the morning I worked out of Buzz Bakery down the street - should go there more often it's a pretty cozy place. The rest of the afternoon I was actually really productive working at home. Then got a few more books from the library to read! At night, Tony, Peter, Min, Margaret and I pregamed at Min's with the intention of going out to DC. We drank soo much beer playing power hour, and shotgunned for the first time in forever. Some of us made it out to Tombs in Georgetown and others didn't.. haha And then Peter goes and orders the eeeeeentire bar menu and we got like 8 plates of bar food, way too much. And then Bryant came in at like midnight.

03072015
Super early morning to get the free tickets to visit the top of the Washington Monument. Drinking a lot the night before and waking up super early don't go well together.. Bryant and I did so many things - saw all the monuments, White House, Library of Congress and all the touristy things. The White House was put on lockdown when we were there and the Secret Service evacuated everyone by the fence. And this dude was just walking around with a big gun, nbd. Turns out it was a false alarm cause of a food truck catching on fire. Got lunch at Founding Farmers and it was delicious as usual. Then took a much needed break/nap at home before heading out to see a few more of the monuments we missed, and then finally decided to watch The Kingsman at Tyson's. The movie was really good, a lot better than I expected.

03082015
Went to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier this morning and saw a wreath laying ceremony as well. Always pretty neat to see these kind of things. Today was also super nice outside in the high-50's, so in the afternoon I went for a run. Spring is on its way!! At night, a bunch of us went to Neal's place to make our own pizza using his pizza oven. They actually came out pretty good and it was delicious. Another tiring weekend gone, now the week D:

03092015
The struggle was so real this entire day. Daylight saving threw me off so much; I didn't think it'd be this bad it's never been this bad. Felt slightly sick and horrible waking up and on top of that I was sooo tired and exhausted all day. On the bright side, it was in the 60's today!! Sooooo nice outside and smelled like spring, it better not snow again and drop down to the 20's. Since I'm in DC all week, I stocked up on groceries and can actually cook this week. The oven is my new best friend, makes everything so easy and delicious.

03102015
One day of super nice weather and now we're back to the rainy and gloomy days. But together was much better than yesterday - i.e. less struggle. The office was so empty though, but I was still productive. The day seemed to drag on forever and it was only noon when I thought it was already 3. Sigh.. it's gonna be a long week, not even hump day yet. Made roasted chicken for dinner, so much more of a hassle than salmon. I'm just gonna stick to salmon from now one. And then started planning for New Orleans!! Excited to go somewhere new and explore. T-2 months!!

70/365
03112015
Hump day. Finally. The morning was alright, but the afternoon was a major struggle just to stay awake. I kept pacing around the floor just to stay awake and the second I sit back down I start dozing again. Came home and just knocked out for a good hour. It felt so nice napping in bed when it was still so sunny outside - perfect lazy napping weather.

71/365
03122015
Very slow day at work today - made some Excel sheets more efficient since I had free time. Not really sure what I did for most of the afternoon, but hung out in the atrium for quite a while. For once I wasn't feeling dead and exhausted today, maybe because I had a big cup of coffee this morning. After dinner, I went out for a stroll and tried taking night shots on this really dark street. Kinda hard without my tripod so I borrowed someone's front yard ledge.

72/365
03132015
Work from home day today. Had a nice morning at Buzz Bakery and starting to become a regular there. Had a productive morning, and during innovation hours in the afternoon I started a few lessons on Codecademy, hopefully I'll learn some web programming skills after I complete the series. Coming back to the apartment I saw a bunch of food trucks outside, so I decided to try Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken since the line was so long. The chicken sandwich was good, but not that spectacular.. Around dinner time Margaret asked to get dinner so why not, and we got so much food at Lighthouse Tofu. Met up with Sang after to get some dranks, and then karaoke for 2 hours before calling it a night. Spontaneous nights are the best.

73/365
03142015
Woke up with a headache and throat not feeling well, ugh. It was a tough morning, but managed to get out of the apartment to read The Happiness Project at Boccato. Found a nice couch and camped there for 2 hours or so. There was these two people in front of me talking about managing their life and it was a pretty interesting conversation to eavesdrop on :P The waiter apparently tried to photobomb when I took this photo, but I was too zoomed in and didn't get her in the frame, oh wells.

74/365
03152015
Really sunny day today but also pretty windy. I woke up at 9:30 with no alarms and decided to stop snoozing to get out of bed. Feels good to wake up early on weekends and be productive in the morning - read some news, read my book, made breakfast. Then had the Kollab DC meeting in Tyson's for 2 hours, but it seems to be getting more exciting with auditions as early as next weekend! Afterwards, a few of us got a late lunch at Shake Shack in Tyson's - I haven't had it in so long. We just chilled in the mall for quite some time. Then I finally washed my car to get all the nasty snow/salt/rain off; I hope it doesn't snow again any time soon...

75/365
03162015
The weather was so nice today! In the high 60s!! But it was a slow Monday at work, so I left early since my manager left at 2:30. So nice leaving work and coming home when it's still so sunny outside. Made my way down to Richmond early to get the steak that I've been craving for so long, it was so good. Then just watched TV for the rest of the night.

76/365
03172015
Today's weather was so nice!! I left work so happy and in such a good mood because it was so sunny and warm outside. Makes me so excited for summer. Had dinner at European Taste and the owners were very friendly as usual. I think they like Capital One people going because we leave a pretty hefty tip haha. But that's fine because they're so friendly and the food is pretty cheap. Then I decided to take a walk around the Short Pump mall to walk off my food, and ended up getting a pair of pants haha.

77/365
03182015
Feeding my FR-S. Today was a typical day, just chugging along doing a lot of Excel work, nothing too spectacular about my day. But the drive back up to DC is sooooo much nicer now with day light saving. I can actually drive in day light and get home when it's still light outside. With the weather getting nicer and summer approaching, I think I'm gonna look to join DC Dragons and get back into dragonboat. I miss the feeling after a hard practice and the adrenaline rush from races.

78/365
03192015
Had a big conference with everyone under my VP today and we had two interesting guest speakers. First is General McChrystal who led JSOC in Afghanistan and he talked about effective leadership. Then we had a design guy who came from Google talking about design processes and creative innovative products. Both were really interesting and I was much more engaged than I expected. Then the afternoon was just a bunch of conversations about March Madness and how so many people's brackets are getting ruined haha. Was in a pretty good mood after work talking to several people and then took my post-dinner stroll to Harris Teeter for some fruits.

79/365
03202015
Why is it snowing on the first day of spring? I put away all my winter clothes and jacket. Had free lunch at work today because one of the meetings got canceled last minute and we already ordered catering, so free food for grabs wooh! I left work at like 3:30 because everyone else left haha, best part about Fridays. In the evening I went back to Tyson's Corner for a hide and seek at the mall, but it never happened and a few of us just ended up getting Shake Shack and then went to Colton's super nice apartment to watch the basketball games.

80/365
03212015
Had an eventful day today doing Kollab auditions at UMCP. It felt nice being back on a college campus again even though it was completely foreign to me. The auditions were fun and it was cool listening to the people sing/play instruments and hear about their backstory. Hung out with the KDC staff too and they're really fun! We walked to the other side of campus to get food during lunch, and then hung out at Ten Ren's afterward to just chat and joke around. I came home and was exhausted and passed out for like half an hour haha.

81/365
03222015
Awesome day at the Newseum today filming strangers for our design thinking project. It was pretty awkward asking them if we could film them at first, and got turned down by two people, but eventually it wasn't all that bad! It was fun talking to them and asking them questions about their experience and what they like about the museum. This old couple was so adorable and was very genuine and so friendly! Afterwards, we walked around the White House, and got to see a motorcade leave the front entrance of the White House. Everyone was evacuated to the other side of the street and there were so many cars, swat teams, police cars, etc.. all around the motorcade. Apparently the president is always in the second car on the back right corner... according to this tour guide. But I didn't see Obama..

82/365
03232015
Slow and long Monday, but time passed by a little quicker with all the side conversation we had in the room today. Everyone was just very talkative, well... it was only like four of us, but we still made good talk! Had a pleasant drive down to Richmond since it was still sunny for half the drive and it's just so much easier driving when it's not cold outside. There's something about winter draining all your energy, and when the weather warms up you just naturally have more energy during the day.

83/365
03242015
Super long day today. Work was a series of checks on previous changes we've made, and just making sure everything is correct. Margaret and I explored WC1, the newly remodeled building, and it looked so fun! Hammocks in the building, walls you can write on, and everything was so modern looking. For dinner, the Design Thinking group went to Savory Grain near downtown Richmond and the place had a really nice feel to it. Live music and the environment felt very inviting. The steak was not bad, and it was great I didn't feel bloated after dinner. Then we went back to the office to work out the details of the Design Thinking video, and after an hour or so we were all exhausted and ready to leave. But tomorrow I'm waking up at 6am to jog around West Creek and go to the gym. Can't bail on Margaret D:

84/365
03252015
6am gym and jogging! Because the Hyatt beds weren't that comfortable, waking up wasn't that big of a problem. Richmond was colder and less sunny that we thought, so it was a pretty nippy morning jog around the West Creek campus. Energetic start to my day and at some point I felt like I was crashing, but managed to get through the entire day no problem! For dinner, we went to Black Sheep in downtown Richmond - the food was just alright in my opinion. I got lamp chops and they weren't very hot, and the sauce wasn't quite my type. Afterwards, we went to Rock Bottom for drinks and talked/gossiped a lot about all types of things. Impromptu plans and conversations are the best conversations.

85/365
03262015
Day 2 of 6am workouts. Almost didn't make it out of bed, and today was definitely a lot harder than yesterday. Instead of running because we were feeling lazy, we just worked out at the gym and called it a day. The entire morning was such a struggle to stay awake and I was just so exhausted physically and mentally. But I left work pretty early to get back to DC in time for a sell dinner at The Palms. The weather was absolutely beautiful when I left - clear skies, sunny, 76 degrees! The breeze was so warm and it felt so nice driving with the windows rolled down. Dinner at The Palms was alright. I got salmon, the third type of meat I've had this week... I'm just feasting every day of the week this week.

03272015
Very chill day at work today. Had a few meetings here and there, but the main thing I did all day was going out to Chef Geoff's for lunch for the Analyst Welcome Weekend. The crabcake was delicious! I left work at like 3 in order to hit the gym before going out to the Wizards game at 7pm. We got a box seat with food and drinks so it was a pretty sweet deal. The game itself was alright until the last 3 minutes when it got really close and heated up, and ended up going to double overtime. The overtimes were pretty exciting to watch, and the Wizards won at the end! First time in the Verizon Center and it was fun! Afterwards we went to the W Hotel and got bottle service with champagne, cocktails and vodka. Had a few drinks but came back home around 1:30 so I can wake up for dragonboat tomorrow morning!

87/365
03282015
Woke up to go to the Anacostia Boathouse to help DC Dragons but the boats in the water. Met quite a few of the team members there and they all seem pretty cool, some even know people on WSD! This morning was freezing and I definitely didn't dress warm enough. But putting the boats in the water made me really want to get back into dragonboat, and especially racing down the Potomac River in May! Afterwards, I met up with Lauren, her mom, and David around the White House. I passed by the Kite Festival but didn't stay long because it was so windy and cold. We walked around the touristy places, and then went to Georgetown for lunch and Baked & Wired. The line was so long, but the cupcakes were really good actually. But I still wouldn't wait for it again.. Got dinner at Founding Farmers and it was delicious as usual. So much food today but I guess walking 10 miles offsets that?

88/365
03292015
Went for a 4-mile jog on the National Mall this afternoon. Jogging in DC is much more interesting because I also get to explore places where I usually wouldn't go to. I found a small pong between the Lincoln and the Washington Memorial today and it has a really pretty view of the Washington Monument. And the Jefferson was also really pretty today since it was clear skies and sunny, but too bad there's not cherry blossoms yet.

89/365
03302015
Pretty happy Monday! Lots of really quirky and random conversations in the team room this morning. Since when did we become so liberal and start using mild profanities?? But anyway, spent a good portion of the day figuring out NOLA flights and AirBnb stuff, and still haven't sort everything out yet, but hopefully by tomorrow evening we will! On the drive down to Richmond so many people do below speed limits in the inner lane. So frustrating.

90/365
03312015
Woke up at 6:30 to go to the gym at the Hilton. Felt pretty good and then treated myself to some Chick Fil-A breakfast. Their breakfast is not all that great, the tatertots were delicious though! The cashier addressed me by my name and I was so confused at first. And I guess it showed, and she clarified that she saw my Capital One ID with my name on it... Richmond weather was so nice today, and then on the way back it started raining here and there. Why can't the weather warm up already and not dip down to the 30s every night D:

February

032/365
02012015
Weekends on a college campus feels very different from weekends at work. Everyone seems to have meetings/work to do while I'm just bumming. Went to lunch with CUAUV Business Team and went to the team meeting as well. Not something I miss doing on my Sundays haha. Then hung out with Paul at his apartment for a while until the Super Bowl! Went to one of their friend's house to watch it and the game was so intense! So many good plays and it was so close in the last few minutes. Some people got quite angry and frustrated with the Seahawks loss, but I was just neutral haha. Just glad it's a better game than last year's. And the trudged though the tundra in Collegetown to get back home.

033/365
02022015
Did some work here and there in Duffield today, but wasn't very productive with all the stuff going on in Duffield. Got lunch with Kevin at Statler and then kinda just bummed around in the afternoon. Went to this project team blitz with Manita to recruit people, but it was so awkward so we left after a while. So I stopped by CSA meeting to see some people and saw all the past China Night videos haha, good times. Got dinner with Kelly and Kevin at Koko's and it was good catching up with them! Koko's still the same old. At night, I got sangria with Lauren at CTB, but we both couldn't finish the pitcher so we had soo much leftover haha. Just casually drinking on Monday..

034/365

"Where I Stand"
Woke up nice and early to go across the street to Barton for the Career Fair. Time passes so slowly as an employer and we were all wishing it was over already. Pretty exhausting talking to all the students and standing for that long. I think we got a good amount of students interested though. Afterwards, I bummed in the room for a while recovering, and then met up with some people in Duffield. Sat in on an informal CUAUV interview for new members, haha, but I knew the person so it wasn't too awkward. Then there was the referral dinner with the new hires and their referrals at Miyake's and we sake bombed too. Can't go to Miyake's without sake bombing. Dinner was good and everyone was pretty cool, that led to us getting more drinks at The Nine's trivia night. Way too many tequila shots, but it was really fun hanging out with Alex Chang/Cheng and Lauren. So many funny moments.

035/365
02042015
Had coffee chats all day with Alex and we both had a slight headache from last night.. haha. It went well though, got a really good turnout and scouted out good potential candidates. Bumped into Tiffany while getting food, interesting.. For dinner, got burgers at Jack's with Alex Cheng and talked about socialism, Islamism, oil, conservative vs. liberal, and just a bunch of random stuff. Good conversation and the burgers were pretty delicious too. And then did a facial with Lauren... my face was soooo dried up so not comfortable.

036/365
02052015
"My View"
The flight back to DC was much troubleless than the flight up. Got CTB before leaving Cornell, and it's bittersweet leaving every single time. It's like I'll always miss it and look forward to coming back next time. From Reagan Airport, I went directly to the office to make a meeting; first time talking to my manager in almost 2 weeks haha. And then just came home to relax and unpack. Home sweet home. And started watching Sherlock today!

037/365
02062015
"Minifigures"
Not used to this work life, but it is what it is. Struggled through the day and reviewed a couple of resumes. Just thankful that it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow. Went to play poker with a few people at night and eventually I just got sooo sleepy. I think I need a day to recover from all the traveling in the past two weeks.

038/365
02072015
Free admission to the Newseum today for Bank of America cardholders! There weren't any new exhibits since the last time I went, so I just watched a lot of the videos that I didn't bother watching last time. It's too much to take everything in in one trip anyway, so it was nice. Got some snacks and groceries at Target and finally got my car washed. It feels so nice when I can actually see out my windows and it's not just nasty snow/salt. Bummed the entire evening/night just watching TV and playing guitar.

039/365
02082015
Today's weather was so nice! 60's! Started the day early with the football game. We won since the other team didn't show up, so played another team for a scrimmage. I went for a 15-mile bike ride in the afternoon. From my apartment to Georgetown Waterfront, to Jefferson Memorial, to Gravelly Point by Reagan Airport, and then back home. Got loots of nice photos since there were so many people out and about when it's so nice outside. Caught a photoshoot by the Jefferson Memorial too! Nice way to spend the afternoon. :)

040/365
02092015
"So Lovely" heh
Super busy day at work today, but I was really productive. Always a good feeling leaving work feeling like I've accomplished a lot. Got dinner at Samurai Sushi and it really hit the spot. Got sashimi deluxe and a lobster roll and it was juuuust right. Then back at the Hilton I finally watched Big Hero 6, and it is actually as good as everyone said it was. It's sooo touching and so sad, definitely one of my favorite movies.

041/365
02102015
Whole-day planning session at work today, for which I was lost for a good amount of the session haha. Wegman's on the way back as usual to grab dinner. And I just finished reading For One More Day by Mitch Albom and it makes me feel so nostalgic and sentimental. All his books make me feel like that :/

042/365
02112015
"Cozy"
Swamped with work, but good to be busy. Had lunch with a few people from Kollaboration, it seems like a pretty cool org to be a part of and to plan events throughout the year. After work, I joined the Bank ADP guys at their networking event at Georgetown. It was a bowling/restaurant venue, so just got free food and joined in on the festivities. Nice to hang out with the NY guys every once in a while and get drinks. Had lots and lots of wine haha, but it was all good. Came back home to help Nancy prep for her Capital One interview tomorrow! Wooh!

043/365
02122015
"A Favorite"
I think this new Sigma 17-50 mm lens is going to be my new favorite lens. Fixed aperture at 2.8 is so nice! Today's weather was so weird. It started out really gray this morning and then started snowing pretty hard, but none of it stuck. The snow let up by noon and then the wind picked up in the evening. Supposed to be a cold weekend, not looking forward to it.

044/365
02132015
Crunch time on Friday to finish everything up, but luckily things died down in the afternoon and I left a little earlier. Most people left before I did but oh wells. Very bland Friday night - watched Sherlock and a movie. Lots of tentative plans for the long weekend, hopefully these plans won't fall through.

045/365
02142015
I went to this Chinese New Year event at a middle school in Falls Church. The performances were mediocre and food was quite disappointing. Made me miss all the food in NY, but I'll be back this week to feast! In the afternoon I went to the Jefferson Memorial to try to take a polyorama picture - a panorama turned into a circle and it'll look like a planet. Got asked to take photos for a few people because I had my camera and tripod there lol. But in the end, my polyorama failed so I'll try again next time womp.

046/365
02152015
The Cupid's Undie Run was today! Probably the worse day to have it since it was like 20 degrees today, and people were yelling and screaming because of the cold. It was pretty entertaining to watch haha. Only got this picture to show how little people were wearing. But the lady wore a onesie and seemed pretty warm compared to the other girl. Explored around D.C. to take random photos today, way too cold to be walking around. I was so relieved after coming back and warming up. Sundays are now my exploring days.

047/365
02162015
Another cold day. I went exploring at George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate. It wasn't all that fun, but nice to see it especially since it was free admission today. Halfway through it started snowing, and it came down pretttty fast. So I quickly got on the road to head to Richmond, but wasn't quick enough. I got caught in the snow and the drive down took 4 and a half hours. Towards the end I was being super cautious because they don't plow the roads at all! And my car cannot handle any kind of wintry mix condition. It was such a tense drive down :(. After checking in, I ventured out to explore a little and hoped to find food. But everywhere was closed, all the retail stores and restaurants. Womp, ended up coming back to Hilton to eat.

048/365
02172015
"Wide"
Worked from the Hilton all day because the small roads are not shoveled at all. For lunch I ventured across a parking lot full of snow to get Pho. I was surprise they even opened, I was one of three customers there haha. Their entire parking lot was not shoveled it's so hard getting there. But Asians want business I guess. Drove back to D.C. in the afternoon and the roads were so empty, everyone was home lol. Got take out at a place called Little Taipei, and was very disappointed it was owned by Canto people :/

049/365
02182015
Typical day, was productive because I'm leaving early tomorrow to head back to NY, so had to wrap up a lot of stuff today. My manager was super chill with me leaving early tomorrow and asked if we needed to shift some meetings haha. So excited to go back to NY actually!

050/365
02192015
Happy Chinese New Year! Left work early to make dinner with the family back in NY. Haven't seen the two minions in so long and I've only been talking to them through the phone. It was nice playing with them again and Chloe is much more fun now and speaks so much more! Dinner was good - the typical Chinese food. Haven't had so much Chinese food in a long time lol. Played with Evelyn and Chloe at the restaurant after eating and we were running around the places haha. Then came home for red envelopes, even though I didn't receive any, but I gave red envelopes. I guess having an income means giving? Had to do some catch up on work at like 1am since I left so early T.T

051/365
02202015
Worked from home today and was actually really productive, especially for a work from home kind of day haha. Baby sat for a while and ended up playing with Chloe for an hour. So adorable and fun to play with now. For dinner, went out to the city for Restaurant Week with Alice at Cafe D'Alsace at Upper East Side. French restaurant and overall it wasn't bad. We stopped by Bryan's place to hang out and took a few Tequila shots lol. So done with those. And then just got drinks at Pony Bar around the corner. The 7 train takes forever at like 2 in the morning and is sooo slow.

052/365
02212015
Went to Long Island in the morning and then took a nice long nap in the afternoon - very satisfying. Ventured out into the city in the snow and got Vanessa's dumplings with Alice and Mui. I miss these cheap Chinatown dumplings. And then we just chilled at hookah and chatted for a bit. It was so snowy and wet outside we didn't really want to leave haha. Pretty much my entire day.

053/365
02222015
Such failed lunch plans with Hannah. Got to Chinatown and took forever to find parking because of the Chinese New Year parade. And then we couldn't meet up with Susan and Vinny because they were on the other side of the parade and couldn't get to our side, so they just left.. And then Hannah and I couldn't get to the other side for soup dumplings, and then eventually we gave up and just left. All we wanted was some soup dumplings! D: But we saw this giant snowman though! And I also saw Jason Chen singing as part of the parade haha. But back in D.C. now, t'was a great weekend in NY, too short though.

Another Monday.. The usual, work's actually been really busy lately actually because of all the projects we're trying to finish, but busy is good! Made the drive down to Richmond no problem and got steak for dinner, but it wasn't very good so not satisfying at all. And first time trying Coca Cola Life, it tastes like normal Coke lol.

I really dislike the Hilton Garden Inn, the heater is sooo loud and kept waking me up during the night. Sigh... But work was busy as usual but productive. Met a guy from Canada and they have a Canadian accent when speaking English haha. Got Samurai Sushi for dinner, I think it's starting to be one of my new favorite places because of the Sashimi Deluxe. I had to do some work at the hotel to wrap some things up, but not too bad and now just watching Chopped on TV.

Work was the usual, but I got a nice surprise in the mail when I came back to the apartment! I got a package notification and had no idea who it's from, but assumed it's Steve because no one else had my address. And then bam it's this! Hehe so thoughtful and made my day. Early surprise gift from the best people :D

Snowed so much last night and the office was so empty, just me and my manager. But better than spending my birthday all holed up in my apartment. Not a whole lot of excitement but talked with a bunch of people I haven't stayed in touch with in a while, and started talking to a few fresh people! It's so nice reconnecting with old friends and starting new conversations with relative new friends. It's a great feeling. Talked a bunch with Kat and made it was great because I don't think we ever really got to know each other, even though I was one of the first friends she made on campus. And had a nice brief catch up with Kelly - always looking after me :) All our catch-ups make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"The Season"
Such a struggle bus waking up in the morning because I stayed up late talking to people, but TGIF. Busy day today and presented my project proposal to partner teams. It went okay but learned a bit more about how to effectively communicate just looking at what my manager does. Saw this scrawny snowman outside my apartment on the way back this evening. Got soondubu for dinner and found a good place in Annandale called Lighthouse Tofu, it's really cheap too! Definitely worth going back.

"Anticipation"
Woke up soo early today at 9:30, and decided just to be up and about. Drove to the Jefferson with my bike and biked around the big loop south of the memorial. It's actually pretty long and a really nice bike ride. Then biked to the Jefferson and near the Lincoln to take photos. On the way I talked to three people visiting DC from Minnesota cause we were walking in the same direction. They were still in school studying business and asked me how credit cards make money with all the cash back rewards hahaha.
