Woke at 4am to head to Richmond for the dragonboat race! Second day in a row waking up at 4am it's such a struggle. The race went well - just 3 500m races. Today was also probably the hottest day of the week hovering around 95 degrees. I would be sitting there and just be sweating. Between races we played sand volleyball and threw a football around, and I also took a very comfortable nap under the table, where it's cleanest and not in anyone's way. In the final race, we were seeded 2 seconds behind 2nd place and 3 seconds behind first. We had a really good start, but in the end lost to 2nd place by .2 seconds. .2!!!!! That's like one extra umph, one extra push ugh. More motivation to work out harder to beat them at the DC race later this month. Then the sushi buffet at Sushi King was amaaazing. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food, but I starved myself all day for this. At night, I drove to Baltimore to meet up with a bunch of family friends since they were in town!

Hung out at the Hyatt with the bunch for a while, and a few of us came to DC to hang out. Walked around Georgetown Waterfront and did a flash tour of the memorials/White House since they were only here for the afternoon. Today was also super hot, and I already had enough sun from yesterday's race, so it was a struggle walking around DC. But we hit up all the good places, and omg tried Jumbo Jumbo in Rockville for the first time and it's so good! Definitely worth going back but so far D:

Nothing too special about today - just another typical Monday. All packed and ready for Chicago for the next 3 days for a planning session!! Wooh!

Worked from home today, so went to Buzz Bakery for the morning. Haven't been there in a while and it's nice being back! In the afternoon flew to Chicago and this time my itinerary isn't as touristy as last time, since I already did all the newbie stuff last time. Tried out Goat & the Girl, one of the top rated restaurants in Chicago. since the wait was long, we bar hopped around and then came back to eat tapas style dinner. The food was good, but pricey for its portions but that's fine. Afterwards, we got gelato at Amorino's and then went to hookah for a bit. Tonight wasn't a crazy night so we sang Britney songs all the way back to Downers Grove.

Planning session today which was alright. After work we made our way to Downtown! First stop was the Sears Tower. I've been up before, but it's nice to go up again and see the glass box that overlooks 103 stories down. This time it's so crowded, probably because it's earlier in the evening and during summertime. Then we got dinner at La Sirena Clandestina in West Loop. It's like Latin American food and actually pretty delicious. West Loop also has really pretty restaurants for nice photos! Then we went to Navy Pier to watch the fireworks, except couldn't find parking so just double parked to watch it. Then Chinatown to look for Joy Yee cause apparently it has really good bubble tea, but couldn't find it!! Settled for unsatisfying Kung Fu Tea instead, and ended up finding Joy Yee afterwards. Last stop was Three Dots and a Dash, a Hawaiian tiki bar in River North. Heard good reviews about this bar from 3 different people so decided to check it out. It was a bit sketch in a back alley, but inside was so nice and the drink was sooo delicious! Caribbean rum and passion fruit, omg I can drink that all day.

Headed to Downtown at 3 today, and still hit traffic and took an hour to get there. I made a pit stop at Logan Square area to get Intelligentsia Coffee, supposedly good coffee, but I thought it was just alright. The coffee shop was very hipster and cool though. Then made my way to North Avenue Beach. It's soooo much nicer than I expected. The water was pretty clean, much cleaner than NY, and there were so many activities going on - jet skies, volleyball, etc... It seems like the place where locals go. I watched 2 vs. 2 sand volleyball for a bit before getting Portillo's Italian beef. This was better than the Chicago hot dog I got last time. Then I tried to go to French Market in West Loop, but it closed by the time I got there so I just wandered around West Loop for the third day in a row. Got myself some Joy Yee's bubble tea, which was better than Kung Fu but still meh. And had time to kill so drove a couple miles south to University of Chicago. The school's in a pretty ghetto area and the campus was soo quiet. I went into this open building and was a bit creeped out cause no one was inside. Their glass dome library was pretty cool though. Then drove back to downtown to meet up with Manita and Graham for drinks at the Hard Rock Hotel. Got watermelon mojito which was pretty good, we chatted for a bit and then it was time for bed time.

Flew back from Chicago and went into the office for a bit. Went for a jog around National Mall after work with Margaret and kinda explored DC along the way. We went into Jazz in the Garden and it was really good, and then lied down at the base of the Washington Monument. We were trendsetters cause people starting doing it after we did it! Ended the night with some Snocream :)

Kollaboration DC's 6th showcase today!! We were at the theater at 1pm to prep/setup when the show starts at 8. So exhausted before the show even started. During the show, I stayed at the front doing photos, and then eventually roamed around getting different shots. The performers were all really good and it was tough to determine who will win. Then we went on with the guest performers and at the very end of the show announced winners, and Audrey won!! She was in my top 3 and her performance really got the crowd going. Then the afterparty.... Got a ride to The Park with one of Scott's friend, and on the drive there we took swigs straight out of the bottle. And then when we got there we took like 3-4 back to back rounds. Had a Blue Motorcycle and Four Horsemen, both of which were pretty much all liquor. And then the rest of the night was just in and out for me and I died. D:

08092015
Struggle bus all day today. Heard about the rest of the night and what everyone else did through Christine because I don't remember a majority of it haha. And then went to Rockville with Margaret to get her car and ate at Jumbo Jumbo - their chicken is still so amazing. Then movie hop time! Mission Impossible and Ant Man, both of which were really good! MI is always a good watch with good humor, but Ant Man was really funny!

Work was such a struggle today because I think I got sick Friday night, and then it just got worse over the weekend. And today as the day went on I felt worse and worse but had to talk during meetings meep. I was like dying. Post work ran some errands and got groceries, and tried making Asian bone soup, but it didn't turn out that well womp. So just had chicken and zucchinis for dinner, weird combo but easy and noms.

08112015
Sick, major struggle bus at work. Was gonna leave at 3 but ended up staying till 6 to finish up some stuff. And then came home and passed out for an hour and half.

08122015
Presented my analysis and everything went well. Whew, now the pressure's off my back and I can do the few follow ups leisurely. Then came down to Richmond a little earlier to get Tobacco Company prime rib with Margaret and Brandon. Learned lots about the Marines and the inter-military branch rivalry between the different branches. Ended the night with some Gelato - butter pecan and espresso oreo. Yums.

225/365
08132015
All day conference about digital analytics today. The day seemed forever, but the topics were actually really interesting. I wanna do more visualizations since I'm so picky about coloring, layout, and formatting. It would be cool to get into that kind of projects. Also, there's bikes on Richmond campus now! During break a bunch of us went bike riding around campus it was so awesome!

Work was super chill today. Did a bunch of recruiting work and not much actual work, and then had lunch with the new Cornell ADPs. Left the office at 1:30 to explore DC with Christine. We went to the Hirshhorn, and was done with it in like 45 minutes because we were both fast museum goers, which I like. Then walked all the way to the Lincoln to sit there and people watch for a bit. It was so hot and the walk was quite lengthy. Some recovery time at home, and some much needed nap time before getting dinner with a bunch of her friends. We got Korean food and drank too, learned a new game called fingers. I lost the first time, and almost again the second D: Everyone else continued drinking at people's apartment, but we went to the Jefferson to just sit by the water and talk. T'was a relaxing way to end the night with some late night adventures!

08152015
Moving day sucks. Took me a while to move all my stuff from the old apartment down the block to the new apartment. Even carried and walked a few tables over, and pushed my mattress on those bell carts down the street. After moving, went to Jack's apartment for BBQ pool part. The food wasn't good, but we made homemade ice cream/shake that was pretty noms. At night, went out to Rosslyn with Christine and met a bunch of people who knew my close friends from Stuy. What a small world! Oh and we played pong on the balcony and I sucked D:

08162015
Such a struggle to wake up since I didn't really sleep much last night. Went dragonboat and then met up with the family in Rockville for lunch. Saw the two little minions and played with them a bunch. We went to Georgetown Waterfront and played in the water for quite a while. They were having a blast and getting soaked, and I was getting soaked playing with them but it was lots of fun. Then went to the White House and Evelyn said George Washington lives in the White House because his house is white. Bahaha. Got dinner at Founding Farmers and then came back to the apartment. Played with them around the apartment for a bit before they passed out lol.

229/365
08172015
Went to work for a little bit but left early and met up with the family. We went to the pool in my apartment and played with them for like 2 hours. The pool's actually pretty nice and I'm excited to start using it! That pretty much took up the whole day. Then after they fell asleep, got Pho 75 and walked around the monuments for a while.

Work was busy today, but that mad time pass faster. There's too few hours in a day! After work, Christine and I went to Gravelley Point to watch planes take off/land. That place is always so relaxing even though all we do is just sit and wait for planes to come/leave. It was overcast so wasn't even that hot, just perfect. We chatted for a bit about all sorts of random stuff. I made a Target run to get household supplies. So fun to shop for a new apartment but also such a pain to figure out what I need and unpack. As I unpacked, Christine came over and we just chatted while I sorted out the last bits of my room. I realized I have a bunch of stuffed animals and figurines. She hid them all throughout my room and took me a long time to retrieve them, and still not even sure if I found all of them. D:

Was in a recruiting simulations game training today. It was fun playing the simulation game myself, and my team scored the highest, amongst the supposedly 10% of students who score that high wooh! After work, went to Georgetown with Margaret, Wendy and Stephen for restaurant week at Filomena. It was delicious! We were filled just with the appetizers, and when the entrees came they were huge! We all only made a little progress on the pasta and packed the rest to go. The dessert cake was ginormous and all so delicious too omgg. Afterwards, we had plans of walking all the way back to Courthouse. We walked along the waterfront for a bit and decided it was wayyy too hot, so caught a bus to come home.

Back home for the long weekend! I left work around 1pm to drop off all the food donations. They all fit in my tiny car with the back seat down and the front seat filled with boxes. Felt good donating hundreds of items to the local food bank! Then did some work in Barnes & Noble, and then came home to wrap up some last minute data pull work before driving up to NY! 5 hour trip total with traffic, which isn't terrible. And when I got home the two minions were waiting for me and I played with them for a good while. They got all sweaty from jumping and running around. Good to see them again :)

Woke up to do a little bit of work but for the most part just played with the kiddies. Hung out with Jeffrey and Ranice for a bit in the afternoon - got fraps, played football and just bummed at Jeffrey's house. Then went to WSD dragonboat practice this afternoon and saw a few people I haven't seen in forever! Met back up with Jeffrey and Ranice and her boyfran afterwards for dinner. Kimchi fried rice was so delicious and spicy tuna kimbap too nomz.

Went to the city and got lunch with a college friend and it was good catching up. We were never really that close and it's cool to catch up after graduating. Then wandered around for a loooong time and plans with people just kept falling apart because either people were flakey or just weren't free. Flakey people are so annoying. But I wandered to the High Lines which I've been wanting to go for a long time. Such a nice weather today for it too. And then to Washington Square Park where I saw a bunch of hipsters dressed up and jumping/wadding in the fountain. Pretty crazy, only in New York City. And finally came home because happy hour plans fell through. But got to go to Long Island to see their Fourth of July fireworks and it wasn't bad. The town was sooo white though it felt a bit weird.

185/365
07042015
Last minute plans to go watch the Macy's fireworks in Brooklyn! Met up with Ranice and her UConn friends- all pretty chill. We waited on the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade from 5pm till 9:30 until the fireworks started. Played heads up and hummed/guessed songs while people walked by probably thinking wtf. The fireworks were pretty good and the view was amazing. Afterwards, we went to Ktown to eat at Pocha because we were staaarving. The food there never disappoints and by the time we left it was already close to 1.

07052015
Last day in NYC I met up with part of the 305 crew. Got soup dumplings in Chinatown with Mui, Hannah, Patty, Mau and Jackie and then got some Chinatown Ice Cream Factory and Kungfu Tea. Absorbing all the NYC food before I leave.

Imagine Dragons concert was aaaamazing! Before the concert, Peter, Margaret and I pregamed in Clarendon and then around Chinatown. Jalapeno margaritas from Matchbox was soo delicious, why didn't I discover this earlier. By the time we go to Verizon Center, we were decently drunk. Imagine Dragons played all their top songs, and even from the second to last row it was still awesome. We couldn't really see their faces, but they sounded great. While there, we made friends with these two blonde girls who were also there, and drank and danced with them throughout the whole concert. Everyone around us were pretty calm and then there were us.. haha. Such an awesome night with great music, fun people, and memorable stories :D

Last night was awesome... and this morning was such a struggle. Dragged myself to work and could not focus until like noon, and today was the busiest day of the week for me. Still living off the concert vibes from last night, Peter, Margaret and I got Taylor Swift concert tickets for next Tuesday. I am SOOO excited it's gonna be awesome. It was pretty pricey, but it'll be worth it. We debated for a while, but the figured 'who knows when is the next time she'll be around here?' and got the tickets.

Normal day at work. Had a Taylor Swift lyrics conversation with a director but it's all good, he's a big Tswift fan haha. After work I got groceries because I'm actually in DC all week this week for once, and was feeling Mexican so got ingredients for tacos. They're really easy to make and quick, so very efficient and satisfying!

190/365
07092015
Work: typical. Had a video crew shooting a video for Facebook, and I got to be in part of it but I'm not the main character. Then afterwork we went to a rooftop bar to finish the shoots - I'm just there as "props" to shoot the "play hard" scene lol. Very funny and embarrassing for the main person, but luckily it wasn't me. Then went to dragonboat and got soaked in the rain. It felt like hail coming down and it hurts!

191/365
07102015
Busy day at work but felt pretty good about all the stuff I finished. Went to Tyson's after to return some stuff and I realized I don't really like shopping. I just want to get what I need/want, and then leave and not waste any more time. Then went for a jog to Clarendon and back and wasn't really in the jogging mood, so only did about 2.2 miles. I worked on the video for DC Dragons for a bit, mainly trying to get Adobe Premiere on my computer. And then went to Snowcream to get a late night treat! Not so late actually, it was just 10pm. The line was the longest I've ever seen, all these Asian minions trying to get ice cream. Then spent a couple more hours picking songs and putting together 80% of the DCD video!

192/365
07112015
Went to dragonboat not knowing today's practice was cancelled because a regatta was going on, womps lost 1.5 hours of sleep. In the afternoon I went for a bike ride to Georgetown then around the Lincoln and back. Haven't rode my bike in so long I should get back into it, especially during the summer months. But DC needs to stop raining. On the way back got a little lost but stumbled upon this old buggie. Then played tennis at night for another 2 hours and now my legs are so sore.

193/365
07122015
Dragonboat practice on my off side today! Wasn't as bad as I thought but definitely a lot more tiring than expected. I came home to watch the finals of the Wimbledon and Djokovic won by like middle of the fourth set. Oh welps. in the afternoon I decided to go explore DC a bit since I haven't been in the city for so long. Got gelato from Pitangos - it got really high reviews on Yelp but I thought it was just average like any other gaelato. Then Jamba, and people watched at the Lincoln before heading down to Richmond.

194/365
07132015
Very productive day at work today. It was a slow morning, but got a lot of things done in the afternoon with all the meetings I had. Even had a froyo run as a meeting! Then went to the ADP networking reception dinner. It was pretty much a happy hour with food for 2 hours meeting the new ADPs. I talked to a bunch of the Cornell people, one of which will be joining my team! And then hung out with a Cornell guy and a few others that I also met during lunch when they interviewed. I recognize a lot of people from just the sell weekends and the BA lunches - pretty cool. Got food and drinks later on and just chatted about a bunch of random things.

07142015
I saw fuckin Taylor Swift and it was amazing!! Spent the first half of the day in Richmond and had lunch with a bunch of Cornell ADPers cause I was part of the peer panel. I like the new class an excited to hang out with them. Then the drive back to DC to go see Tswizzles! Pregamed at Peter's for a good amount playing Kings, which I haven't played in ages. And then we went to the Nats stadium just in time for the first songs. The openers dropped out cause of the rain, but at least the first song was Welcome to NY so I didn't really care a whole lot. But all her others songs were amaaaaaaazing and she was so good live. Even sang Love Story and You Belong With Me those were classics. So sad to see her leave without an encore, but until next time, I will live through her recordings on YouTube! <3

07152015
Taylor Swift withdrawal all day, wish I could see her again. Not much of an exciting day today. Got supplies for the volunteering event after work and realized my car barely fits the 6 cases of water. Had to squeeze things and shifts things around, but I managed!

 197/365
07162015
Had a bit of a fire drill at work with one of our platforms, but we identified the issue and fixed it relatively quickly. And signed my my apartment lease this morning!! Got it done first thing in the morning and we're gonna be getting a huuuge apartment for a pretty good price. Excited to have a big living room and my own bathroom, and an actual bedroom!!

198/365
07172015
Capital One volunteering day! Which is an excuse to skip work and start the weekend early. We went somewhere in Bethesda to do painting, pulling out weeds, and cleaning out an attic. I was part of the painting crew and it was nothing exciting. Went around a few times taking pictures of people hard at work and sweating heh. We were done by 2 but I just did a bit of work from home and took the rest of the day off :D

Big congrats to Peter and Liangsha on getting married!! It started with the ceremony at a Catholic Church in Bethesda, and I was so confused the whole time. Didn't know what I was should/shouldn't be doing because there's different things that you'd do if  you're a Catholic. Wendy seemed to know a bit more than me, so glad at least someone knew what was going on. Then we headed over to the reception/dinner in Falls Church. The place was so nice with a view of the lake (don't know which lake..)! Open bar for the entiiiire time. We casually drank at first, just a few drinks here and there, while talking to different people and taking pictures at the photo booth. Then there was dinner with speeches from the best man, maid of honor, groomsmen and bridesmaids. A lot of the speeches talked about Peter's partying stories at JHU, but Peter's siblings' speeches were soooo sweet. So genuine and you can tell they are really close and really do care a lot about each other. Both of them teared up it was so sweet omgah. Then once dinner was over, we started taking shots after shots and it got more rowdy on the dance floor. Everyone dressed up nicely, and decently buzz maybe even drunk, it was a good time. After the wedding, met up with a few people and then headed to DC for the afterparty. It wasn't all that fun, just at a bar and it was reallllly hot still in the suit. It was so gross and humid and I couldn't do much about it. Walked by the White House at like 2am, then got &pizza before heading home at like 4am. Haven't been out that late in forever x.x

Went to Eastern Market today and man, it was hot as balls today. Literally dripping from just walking in the sun it was like 95 degrees but definitely felt like over 100. Always nice seeing the artsy stuff at Eastern Market and see what vendors there are. Got food at the market inside and I wasn't even that hungry all I wanted was something cold to drink. Went to Snocream afterwards and it was perfect weather for it. What an exciting weekend, womp but the weekend ovah.

07202015
The day flewww by today. Had thing to do here and there and before I knew it it was already 4:30 and I had so much more I needed to get done. Recruiting and bringing PAM to campus is taking up so much of my time. The new ADPs joined us in the team room today... Interesting observing them and seeing how they behave.

202/365
07212015
Super busy day today. A lot of onboarding for the new ADP but it's so much easier because she interned before so she has a good understanding of Capital One data already. Caught up with Margaret about all the stories from Peter's wedding, and so many funny stories!! Haha. And fun times trolling John Greene lolol. Then spent like 3 hours at night finishing some stuff and the majority of the time planning recruiting events. Together me and Bev probably sent 20 emails tonight alone.

203/365
07222015
Fun day today! Pretty much started drinking at 11am, and continued drinking throughout the day for the next 12 hours. The Squirrels baseball game was lame, but had a lot of fun times and got to know people more over the huge 32 oz beers. So much liquid no can do. A lot of stupid stuff we talked about and a lot was not work appropriate, but the people were all chill and didn't care. Then we crashed one of the team member's happy hour and kept drinking there. Then from there, went to a Richmonder's house nearby to play beer pong. Haven't played in forever, but was undefeated and got the last cup in all 3 games!! I think half was luck haha. But we also played slap cup and flip cup and all that jazz, so fun to play drinking games again. Ended the night at Bar Louie with munchies.

204/365
07232015
Happy birthday to my mommy! The birthday card she gave me in 2000, when I was 8 years old. I remember this was at the Jekyll and Hyde restaurant in NYC, and it's actually a happy anniversary card haha. Today was a struggle. So tired from yesterday, and was in an all-day session today to brainstorm about upcoming big projects. Played tennis tonight and man, I was so light headed the first time. I felt like I was buzz and feeling all the residual alcohol from yesterday.

205/365
07242015
Work today flew by fast, partially because I left at 3:30 to start drinking wine and prepping for Jazz in the Garden. 3 people for 2 and a half bottles, by the time we go into DC we were sufficiently intoxicated, and then got another pitcher of Sangria. Didn't hear all that much jazz, but had a lot of sangria and chatting with people. Afterwards, went to John's apartment nearby and then it was all a blur... We played pong, drank on the balcony, and then went up to the roof to grill some sausages. Don't even know how late we stayed there. When we left, I thought I was able to find the metro, but I just walked in circles. And then called an Uber to the wrong location D: But finally got an Uber to bring us back to Ballston. Such a long night but fun times.

206/365
07252015
Woke up feeling like shizzz. But that went away after my BOGO Chiptole and some Advil :) Hung out with people just bumming in the apartment, watching Awkward and recovering. Then played tennis for a while but was so tired. Got some bubble tea and then started devising our plan to build our own pong table!! Went to Home Depot to scout out the materials, and it's actually pretty expensive building your own table. Wood is pricey!!

207/365
07262015
Woke up nice and early for dragonboat. Today's practice was just a bunch of race sims, not too bad but didn't feel like I worked out all that much. After practice we were starving, so Christine and I found a crepe place in Clarendon called Oby Lee for noms. It's not the typical flashy brunch restaurant, which I would try to avoid. The crepe weren't bad - we both got something with salmon and eggs, and also got mimosas. The mango one was delicious, a bit embarrassing carrying both out though :X Then in the afternoon I went for a 5+ mile jog to Georgetown Waterfront. Probably walked a good amount of it, and forgetting to bring water was the worse mistake D: Chugged a bottle of Gatorade and water once I got home and then headed down to Richmond.

208/365
07272015
Slept terribly last night - woke up every couple of hours and decided to get up at 6 to gym and get some work done. Think it was cause stuff was on my mind bothering me. But anyway, all-day research sessions all day and watched the moderator interviewed six participants. Was interesting at first, and then got sooo exhausting, especially on the drive back to DC. But picked up this bottle of Hermann Wiemer at Wegman's - eggcited to open it!

209/365
07282015
Work was the usual. Biked to DC after work around the Lincoln and people watched for a while. Found this couple really cute, especially with the Pokeball backpack haha. Then it started raining while I was hanging out by the Lincoln... But it passed pretty quickly and I biked by Georgetown back home. Needed some fresh air to clear my mind and the bike ride helped.

07292015
Struggle today to wake up for the gym, and snoozed for an hour before waking up for work. Busy day as usual, got feedback from manager and the next six month is gonna be a busy agenda for me as expected. I already feel the work piling up and not having enough time during the day. After work, went to the Jefferson just to get some fresh air. The weather was also beautiful today, so I stayed there for over an hour, sitting just over the ledge of the Tidal Basin watching the sunset. It's so peaceful and quiet there, a very different vibe than the Lincoln.

I'm starting to like the new location that my team moved to. It feels so start-up-y and everyone's so talkative and open. I'm liking the team dynamic more and more and it's exciting to hang out with these people! Dragonboat in the evening went well, last practice before the Richmond race I'm so excited! Then afterwards met up with a few people at Spider Kelly's to play shuffle board and some darts.

TGIF. But woke up at 4am to drive Christine to the airport. Had ambitious plans to gym and head to the office super early, but came back home and couldn't do it so slept until 7:30.. Fridays at work is always half play half work. Nothing different today. Lots of joking around and goofing around but at the same time got a good amount done. Was so exciting I got my docking station, but all the wires are bothering me so much. In the evening went to a friend's birthday BBQ celebration and had some drinks and just hung out on the patio. Pretty chill Friday night which was good compared to the night out last night.

June

06012015
It's June already :O Mondaze, but very productive start of the week. Got in the office bright and early right before 8am, and had a productive day all the way till just 5pm. Brought in the new scooter for work and scooted around the team room, still too embarrassed to scoot out into the common area. After work, I met up with my high school history teacher who wrote my college rec! So nice to connect with her again and catch up. We got dinner at Tom Yum District, it's like Chiptole-styled Thai food. After dinner, I drove down to Richmond and it started downpouring on the way down. It was insaaane, the rain came down so hard I could barely see and the lightning lit up the entire sky. I think lightnings are so cool.

Slowday at work, very slow. Feasted at Texas de Brazil afterwards and had so much meat and delicious dessert. I think I've had enough red meat to last me the next few weeks. Now just in a major food coma in bed. zzz

Work - the usual. chill morning but a busy and packed afternoon. After work, a few of us went to Phil's house in Downtown for board game night. This is what Richmonders do in their free time I guess. Learned how to play 7 Wonders - explaining the rules took almost as long as playing the game itself, but it's a fun game. Then we got Gelato afterwards and it was amazing. Gelati Celesti - marked it as one of Richmond's dessert places to go to.

Long day at work, and had some office exercise towards the end of the day playing the mini hoops basketball and throwing a football around. We were waiting to go to the Corporate 4-Miler run. It was drizzling/light raining, but we still ran anyway since we were already there. I went as hard as I could to see what my pace would be for a 4-miler, and I averaged a 7:47 pace. I thought I could do faster, but was still happy with a sub-8 minute pace throughout the entire time. My second half was only a minute slower than my first half. Afterwards, we feasted on sushi and sashimi, and then the torturous drive back to DC in the rain and at night. D:

National Donut Day means donuts from Astro Donuts at work today! Helped film this stop motion video to highlight donut day stuff. Today at work was like a fun and games kind of Friday. The hammock came in, played with the scooter, and had several games of ping pong. Went to the Nats game afterwards with the interns and got reminded of how boring baseball is. But after that, met up with a bunch of people at Clarendon and went out. Hard. Had rounds at Spider Kelly's and played shuffleboard - I'm not as good as I was in Dallas. Womp. Then went next door to Clarendon Ballroom and had a great time on the dance floor with a few more drinks. Haven't gone out like this in so long, especially danced. Very fun night with an awesome group.

Struggled to wake up this morning for dragonboat. Managed to get myself out of bed to go to practice, which didn't feel as horrible as I expected. Had lunch at Neal's where he made paella and it's so picture-worthy. So pretty and not bad. In the afternoon played tennis for an hour and my backhand is so inconsistent. Time to get more into this now that it's warming up outside. Got ramen with Shah and Katy at Adams Morgan since Shah was visiting DC. The ramen was just average in my opinion, and then we went out in Adams Morgan and U Street afterwards. It was a sober night for me and I called it a night at midnight to get some sleep.

Slept in today - first time in a very very long time. Met up with Ann in DC since she stopped by before heading up to Ithaca. We went around DuPont and wandering into random shops and stores there. Then went to Union Market in search of hipster areas in DC. Didn't really do much and we just sat outside chatting about everything, about life. Also played around with my camera trying this floating image for the first time. It was a chill and relaxing afternoon :)

Slow day today - just chugging along. Serviced my car afterwards and walked around the neighborhood to take some photos. Stumbled upon this yellow old school van. And luckily I got back indoors before it started pooooouring.

Busy day at work staring at the screen all day looking through multiple colored cells. Was so exhausted and dizzy by the end of the day. But had some fun conversations, many of them, throughout the day. I forget what they were about lol. Richmond at night and feasted on sushi while watching Game 2 of the NBAs.

So found out I'm paired to an ADP buddy that's coming in mid-July. I didn't sign up for it but oh well that's fine. Also got looped in to a lot of the fun committee things and helping out with the posters and banners. I like doing these things so it's not too bad.

Exciting day at work today. The video I made for Donut Day got sent out to the whole department and got lots of positive feedback about it haha. Guess I gotta keep up these videos periodically for social events going forward and just for funsies every month or so. It's like a fun side project, but quite time consuming. Went to dragonboat practice after and felt really good today. It was a good long practice and I felt pretty good after. Got Bon Chon with a few people afterwards and found out so much more about the history and politics of DC Dragons. A lot more drama than I expected and a lot of things about people that I didn't know before.

Ran a bunch of errands this morning so got to the office around 11:30. Did a few things here and there, and then worked on the website project that's due in a month! So little progress, so little time D: And for most of the afternoon I just played and hung out - played ping pong, foosball, and discussed our next video project! So happy people are enjoying the video and excited for the next video! I bummed at home for a while before going to Eden Center to get Banh Mi (yum) and some snacks! Then played tennis for like 2 hours. Playing at night is so much nicer than in the sun, but still so hot and humid.

KDC Media Day! Super long day doing photo shoots and filming promo videos for the 6 artists competing in the Kollaboration DC showcase in August. Long, but really fun day. Started early setting up a dark room/studio type of environment t George Mason University. I was in charge of all the photos so took a bunch of head shots, posted photos, and candids to use as promo and marketing material. We played around with the lights and had different light bulbs and light sources to do cool effects. Got to see a few of the artists sing a complete song and that was pretty cool. By 4, we were done and exhausted. Packed up and went to get some burgers and ice cream - much needed and well deserved first meal of the day. Then I went over to a BBQ and we jammed out to 90's Britney music.

Dragonboat then running this morning. Productive morning! Met up with Deborah in the afternoon and we got SnoCream in Annandale. First time there and it's really good. I was expecting it to be overrated and just average shaved ice, but I got Thai Tea flavored icy with 3 toppings. Perfect for today's 90+ degree weather. Then in the afternoon, Margaret, Peter and I filmed part of the video we're making for work. So many troll scenes and goofy scenes it's hilarious. Spent the night putting together some of the clips and dubbing Mission Impossible music to it.

Fun and busy day at work. Prepped the upcoming food drive on Wednesday and sent out mass email to the entire department! Had like 4 hours of back to back meetings and almost didn't have break for lunch, but they were all productive! After work, Margaret, Peter and I finished filming our video outside the office. The car scene looks so bad ass, especially with Peter's 370z. Came to Richmond and finished editing the video heh. So excited for it!

Felt like crap all day cause I'm sick and so hard to get through the day. Thought I would have a chill day today, but ended up being pretty busy and getting things done by 5pm. Nothing exciting, lots of tea during the day. A bunch of people around me had cucumbers on their desks for some reason. And then came home.

Typical day at work today. After work I pumped out 6 Facebook cover photos for the Kollaboration finalists to use to advertise the upcoming showcase. Took a while but I enjoyed it.

Fun day at work today stalking down the executives to get photos of them for my video. Successfully hunted down all 4 of them, even on a Friday! I went to watch Jurassic World afterwards and I thought the movie was just meh. It wasn't anything too spectacular and it was very predictable. I felt like it's part children's movie if it weren't so gory and violent.

Dragonboat in the morning, more tired than usual maybe because I'm still slightly sick. Then haircut took a long time - waiting and then the haircut itself. By the time I was home and showered it was already past noon and I just bummed all afternoon until KDC meeting. I was so excited to get Snocream, but when I left my apartment at 3 I realized it opens at 5 :( Very disappointed, maybe tomorrow! Then on the way back from dinner the storm rolled in and started lightning and thundering nonstop. My sunroom was like a light show with surround sound. No like.

Extreme exercise day Sunday as usual. Dragonboat and today was exhaaaaausting. Two 250m, two 500 m, and a 2k all race simulations. Good prep for upcoming Baltimore race next weekend though. So pumped for it. Met up with Teddy and Co for lunch and most likely gonna have Teddy as my roommate starting September! Excited to have a roommate I'll probably hang out with more. We got pizza at Pupatella and it was sooo amazing. This white sauce and prosciutto and corn pizza was amazing. Then afterwards I food coma-ed and napped for an hour or so before going running. Then got Snocream afterwards it was sooo good for this 90+ degree weather. Then played 2 more hours of tennis until like 10pm and now I'm completely drained. The Lemon Ice Gatorade is actually pretty good.

Lots of food today at the food drive at work today - very impressed! Also sent out a promo video to hype people up and people received the video well! 8 hours of work to produce a 1:20 minute clip. Worth or no? Rest of the day was meh - got annoyed at someone bringing up stuff. What's the point even? But anyway, came to Richmond and feasted on sushi. No more room in my tummy for Corona but that shall happen tomorrow.

Team happy hour!! The team intros took a while, but afterwards the Sumo match between Yogi and Jason, and between the interns were pretty good. It's so ridiculous haha. And then we played cornholes for a good amount of time while drinking beer. Drank so much I was so stuffed and tired by the time it was dinner. Then had drinks with people at Rock Bottom till like midnight talking about the most random stuff. Good times in Richmond.

Attended People and Money at work this morning and the talks were realllly good. Really excited to start planning this to bring it on campus, but gonna be so much work D: Also finished the food drive I organized today and in 1 week we got over 1000 items!! Pretty impressed with the turnout actually, I think the competitive factor between the offices really motivated people to bring in food. Then dragonboat after work the usual.

Friday funday as usual. Did a bit of work here and there, but for most of the afternoon I was wrapping up food drive stuff. Then by 3pm almost eeveryone was gone, so I played a few rounds of ping pong before heading home. Bonchon for dinner and I forget how large the chicken legs are, glad I only got the small instead of the medium. And then played this online Pokemon drinking game, kinda like Monopoly and each square you land on makes you drink. It was actually really fun and involves a loooot of drinking. Then went out for a bit in Clarendon but it wasn't all that great so came home to zzz.

Spent the afternoon apartment hunting and found good apartments in the area that's worth moving for. So not gonna resign the lease and going to move a couple of blocks away. The top choice has an indoor 25 yard swimming pool! That's so amazing and time to get back into swimming if I do move there. Then it was the KDC Open Mic Night at Board & Brew in College Park. Such a pain traveling today because it was thunderstorming all day and just so yucky out. But the event went well and the people there enjoyed it! Wasn't too stressful because it was more low key, but we still pulled it off well :)

Super exhausted today. Woke up at 6am to get to Baltimore for the dragonboat race. We were right by the Under Armour headquarters on the turf field there. The race itself was pretty small with only a handful of teams, so the heats went by really quickly with little breaks. We raced 3 500 meters, which was mehh.. Our final race we were stuck behind the other boat's wake and we just couldn't get over it. But the 2000 meter at the end we did really well. Kept right behind the boats the first 1500m and then after the last turn and the final 500m we beat two boats and made up 2 boat-lengths' worth of distance. Too bad the Silver for the 2k didn't count, so we just got a Bronze for the 500m. Then had Honey Pig after omg it was sooo delicious, just what we needed. Now it's like 8pm and I'm ready for bed..

Getting 8 and a half hours of sleep felt sooo good, but still not enough. I don't even get this much on weekends. Work today was quite busy. Forgot about this meeting at 9:30 that I had to prep for so I scrambled to get everything done before then. Managed to finish it and the meeting went okay haha. At night I went to the White House hoping to see the rainbow lights, but I guess it was only up on Friday and then they took it down.

Super slow day at work I was just so exhausted and not in work-mode. Played tennis for 2 hours after work with new tennis balls and it was so hard getting used to them. They bounce higher and are so much faster. I couldn't time it well and played horribly :( But on the bright side, I got tickets to see Imagine Dragons at Verizon Center next Monday!! :)
